Les Familles du Monde

Thank you for visiting my little project site where I am trying to gather more authentic resources for my students to use in the classroom.

La Famille de Monsieur Berlingeri

Merci à @jberlingeri for his contribution to my family project.  I can’t begin to express how excited I was to receive his email!!!  What a perfect surprise for today.

Thanks to everyone who has shared their audio/video and those who have expressed interest in other ways as well. I thank everyone and look forward to future collaborative opportunities. I hope we can continue to build this resource and share it with those interested.

For those that are new here, we are looking for short audio or video clips where a variety of French speakers introduce themselves and their families.  (Last names are not necessary).  It would be neat to see how many different French speaking countries we can hit from around the world.
My students are typically around A1 on the CEFR level.
To get a better idea of what my students have been learning, below are 2 quick example of something they would be able to understand.

Below is from UTexas: Français Interactif” : (http://www.laits.utexas.edu/fi/fivideo/chapitre-02-vocabulaire-en-contexte-franck-guilloteau-ma-famille)

Ideas to talk about:
  • introduce yourself
  • tell age, birthday, preferences
  • say where you live
  • things you like to do/don’t like to do
  • introduce the members of your family
  • talk about their ages, birthdays, preferences, etc.
